  We have been with Abbeville First Bank for years. Everyone there makes you feel welcome. I wouldn't bank anywhere else. In my opinion they are number 1.

  Upon initially starting to bank here, we were very happy with our service. We were able to get a loan at a time when it was harder to do so. In the last few years, it seems they are going a bit more the way of the larger banks. Our account has not dipped below 35k in several years. Evidently, last year, I received several letters informing me that I was automatically going to be placed in secure checking, but to receive any benefits whatsoever, I had to opt in. In other words, I have to do something in order to not pay a monthly fee for something I don't want. Now that I have opted out, my normally free checking will severely limit, the check transactions I can make without a charge. This is not the actions of a community bank, but rather going the way of the big banks. And if I get better service at a larger bank, well, now you know what I'm doing.
