  In November of 2018, I needed a car loan on a vehicle title that was “lease to own”. Unfortunately I received help from employees that were misinformed that a vehicle loan was possible. To make this long story short, I drove all the way to Rosarito, Mexico to pick up the “original vehicle registration”. Only to be informed by the “regional loan officer”, that a loan was NOT possible on a “lease to own” title. I spent hours at the DMV beforehand to get a copy of “vehicle registration” but DMV rules prohibit the release of the document so close to its renewal, therefore my need to pick up the original. The thing that still bugs me many months later is that the employees encouraged me to pick up the “vehicle registration” document located in Rosarito, Mexico without verifying with the “regional loan officer” if a loan was possible on a “lease to own” vehicle. I would of avoided many hours at the DMV not to mention the drive to Mexico plus the ~$80 on gas.
