Employees of Alaska USA helped this elderly, nervous, and at that time very worried customer set up my membership. I had just had fraud on my checking account at a well known national bank. My entire account was removed and was over $25,000. My local branch tried to help me but it was obvious that besides notifying their fraud department there was not much they could do. I even tried tears. It was up to me and my iPhone. To top it off I had access to no money. I needed individual customer assistance. After hours of being on hold and talking to a different person every time I called I decided to close that account and change financial institutions. I had heard Credit Unions were smaller and might be a better fit for me. I made appointment at local Alaska USA credit union. It’s been three weeks and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had total of 19 automatic deposits/withdrawals. To make this sob story short, I got my money back and have straighten out most of the tasks it takes to change banks. The manager and employees have been so helpful and have answered all my questions in person! Most of them two or three times. 😬 I now am able to sleep at night.
