  I went yesterday after work and had the worst experience, the teller tried to open my account without the banker in the back. She entered my credentials (not very polite) and said I was not eligible to open an account with Alaska USA Federal Credit Union due to me not passing the Echex background. The Exchex document she provided had a score of 0000 on it which doesn't make any sense (I don't have anything negative on my background). I went to Arizona Federal Credit Union next and they had no problem opening a checking/savings account for me. They utilized the same Echex systems as per teller advised all banks utilize same system. I don't understand why I was denied an account and really hope it wasn't racially motivated and she just preferred to deny me an account.
