  I have lived in Alpine since 1987. Banked at First Security then Wells Fargo bought it. I have had one frustrating experience after another At Wells for years. Alta wins the customer respect prize. Today as a large depositor and 33 year customer Wells was not only disrespectful but would not help unless I got online and set appointment. I Jumped through numerous online hoops only to find out I could not make an appointment today but tomorrow. Why did he not tell me that?. I obviously wanted help today. On way home I stopped at Alta and told them I was not a customer and needed notary. They immediately served me at no charge. The irony the form I needed notarized was a Wells Fargo document! I will use my appointment at Wells tomorrow to cancel my accounts and move to Alta bank.

  Can I go lower than 1 star? I went in with Power of Attorney to close an account for my 92 year old father. Joy acted like they didn’t even know what it was. They said they would call me back - they had to call someone for instructions on what to do. This still hasn’t been resolved. I visited four other banks to close accounts - none took more than 30 minutes. This is why credit unions are a better option - great customer service and people who know what they are doing. Don’t go to this branch.

  I called in to verify funds on a check, and I ended up speaking with Joy. She was needlessly rude to me and outright refused to assist me. I was in total disbelief at how poorly she conducted herself.
