I am a remote home buyer needing to buy a home. This is the ninth home I would be buying, so I am quite familiar with the process. I am well qualified and a serious buyer...I am also living in Hawaii and an airline pilot, flying international routes and unable to come see the home at this time. I am willing to, perhaps, make this purchase if I can have my agent see the home. This agency would not allow my realtor to view a property so I could teleconference with him during the showing bc I (the buyer) am not physically there. I was told to “look at the virtual tour” by this agent, but as any home buyer knows, this is not the same as having a person there to look and answer questions in real time. I called this agent and left a message, no call back. I asked my agent to reach out and see if we could work this out and the selling agent is unwilling to help at all. As a result I’m just gonna move on as this agent is completely not helpful. Honestly, this agent is an obstruction to the sale of the home.This is how I have to buy a home and restricting me is not helping me or the seller. If anyone is familiar with what it takes to travel to Hawaii or out of the country at this time, they would understand, but clearly this agent doesn’t care. If I were listing a home, I would not use a selling agent who is unwilling to actually show the home to prospective buyers. In Covid times, remote buying has become a viable means of doing business and restricting buyers like this is unacceptable, uncaring and unprofessional.
