  This experience has been seamless and totally professional from the beginning! I have nothing but praises for Mr. Michael Cooper and his team on how they worked with me wife through this process. By the way, this is our second Re-Fi with him in less than 2 years! Both times have been wonderfully executed! Special recognition as well to Satona Allen, his Mortgage Officer Assistant, who was spectacular as well and just the consummate professional! She exuded extremely poise, patience and enthusiasm to ensure that all the “I”s were dotted and the “t”s were crossed with the documentation and internal team coordinated efforts on my behalf. Mr. Cooper and his team have represented Ameris Bank extremely well and I have already referred other Veterans to him for consideration, and many more to come! Again, Thanks for allowing me to comment and we look forward to a long-standing relationship with Mr. Cooper and the Ameris Bank family! Rendy and Robin Howell

  The loan team is great, but once the loan is on the books it is a bit of a nightmare. I pay into an escrow account with each monthly payment with the assumption that they will be paying my property taxes but they have never done that on time. I receive a delinquent tax notice every time and then have to email them to remind them to pay. This past time, after I sent the email they did not pay the delinquent taxes and I received a 2nd notice that it was going to collections. I have had many phone calls with them and no one seems interested in fixing the underlying problem. This past time, finally, someone told me they figured out they were paying the wrong city taxes instead of the city I'm in. I asked them to fix it and pay the taxes and send me an email once each of those things was complete and she said they would. I never received communication so I called back. The new person said that they don't send emails for stuff like that and he wasn't sure if the problem was fixed. I asked if the taxes were paid and he said no and that they would get to it. I asked if they could contact the City to figure out the problem and let them know payment was coming. He said they don't do stuff like that. The rate for my loan was great, my loan team was great because there were some tricky circumstances with the refinance....but the customer service/loan servicing is atrocious. I am only writing this review to hopefully get someone's attention over there to fix the problem.
