  Aweful bank, has gotten progressively worse over the last 20 years. Limited hours keep getting more limited every year, closing branches, terrible customer service (especially their telebank services). It's like they just gave up.... This is why I am changing banks after 20+ years

  This bank is terrible. I signed up for an account online. Deposited the $ needed to start up. Soon after I realized this was not the correct bank. I immediately sent an email explaining what had happened. I would have kept the account except I had no access as they are on the military base. I could not get in touch with a human as I work the same hours . I tried several times . I wrote a total of 3 le ngthy emails with no response. Finally, today I was at to speak to a person. At this point they have drained the account due to their fees * (which I was trying to avoid). The account was -$9. I explained my issue and the rep was kind enough to refund that $9 to bring the acct to a $0 and close it as requested . That being said, after all the hassle of emails and calls from day 1, I cannot believe they wouldn't refund my initial deposit as well. They could see I had not used this account once! Yeah my mistake opening at the wrong bank butthis definitely shoes the integrity of AFB! I hope our service men and women are treated better than I was! You'd be a fool to bank here!!
