      Auto-Owners will fight your claim tooth and nail. We had a severe summer storm which damaged the roof on eight houses on our street. Seven houses had roof replacements covered by insurance. Auto-Owners sent an engineer to review my roof. He didn’t even bother to lift the tarp and look at the leak areas. Auto owners denied the claim, citing defect in shingle material. Claim was rejected regardless of the need for tarps to stop water from coming through the roof. Auto-Owners had no problem collecting premiums for the past 12 years but they sure have a problem honoring valid claims. This is a very shady insurance company. I had to replace my roof at my cost due to damage from the summer storms. Auto-owners is only interested in taking premiums, and not interested in paying valid claims. Auto-Owners, please don’t bother with a response telling me to contact your fake customer service.
