  Had a $10000. cashier's check. Do not have an account with them. Said it would be 5 days before they could cash it. GET REAL. NO ATTEMPT AT CUSTOMER SERVICE. 2-13-22 Update to your reply. First of all, I have cashed dozens of checks within this range over the past 20 years n Huntsville. Just the day before, I cashed a personal check drawn on Regions for 18K made out to me, and I didn't have an account with them. The check I brought into your location was a CASHIERS CHECK drawn on your bank made out to me. It was issued earlier that day. I had my Alabama drivers license with me and showed it. I had my SS card with me, but wasn't asked for it or any other identification. Second of all, there was no REAL attempt to cash the check, and this isn't just an opinion, I have dealt with financial institutions for 40 years, and I KNOW CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THE LACK THEREOF. The manager didn't want to cash it. If he did, all he had to do was call YOUR CLIENT and ask him if he had just made a 10K transaction with me. vERY LITTLE EFFORT was necessary, and NONE was given. So, in terms of taking caution, I absolutely understand, and 100% agree that you should do your utmost to protect your institution and your client. But to be clear, this legitimate transaction wasn't given profession courtesy. I do not know why. I can speculate, but it doesn't matter. The only thing necessary for this transaction to take place was a simple phone call to our mutual client. And you failed in any attempt. So, if you want to look into something, try discussion with your manager why he told me - when I asked him when I could cash it - " it will be sometime next week ." SOMETIME NEXT WEEK? Not Monday, or Wednesday, or any specific day, but basically and attempt to tell me to go away. He made it clear to me he did not want to help me cash YOUR CASHIERS CHECK made out to me. i do not give 1 star reviews undeservingly. I do in an attempt to help companies look into better customer service. I am in customer service and I train people and have for a very long time. I suggest you give your manager a Dale Carnagie training .

  We’re sorry you had a bad experience. We will discuss this with the branch. Checks that large require a little more caution. Especially if we do not have an established relationship with you.

  Brian, Erica, and Billy in the Mortgage Department are the absolute best! They have excellent customer service and treat people like family! I love Avadian Credit Union and I'm excited to start banking with them.
