      Their loan person Makaila was very -- almost too much -- friendly to us as we walked through a HELOC application, but at the same time was muffing the details of the loan product along the way (switching to a higher-rate product), and just advertising things about the process that just weren't true. We have excellent credit and equity, so one would think the process would be simple and transparent. Quite the opposite: slimy and muddy with very aggressive underwriters. By the end of the process we chose not to have any association with Bangor Savings's loan division. Gross. Go somewhere else.
