  Have had a variety of interactions with BSJ and Glacier over many years. Occasionally we run into an issue like a debit card being blocked due to a charge from a foreign country. We have always received friendly help at the counters and drive thru windows, and by phone up through the Glacier network centered in Montana. Just reaching out to touch base prior to a new charge type allows their security group to approve in advance. The online and app banking experience are not nearly what some other banks provide (they would have to add and increase fees to match those), but it does work, has proven secure and no issues other than feeling outdated, minimalist, a little odd to navigate for some actions. Occasionally service at the counter is a little slow, or they manage a task with 2 or 3 people getting involved. Sometimes this is due to training new employees, other times it is because division of labor creates a need for multiple players to handle an aspect of the needed business. With a little patience, everyone is happy, even doggie who gets a big biscuit :)

  The fact that this branch closes from 1-2 for lunch is ridiculous.

  I adore this bank! A live person answers when I call. I'm greeted by name when I go into my local branch. I got a call at the beginning of the lockdown just to see if I was doing OK. Whenever I need anything, I ALWAYS get my issue resolved. Every. Single Time. When I open a new account, they give me a wonderful , high-quality gift, and they are always so kind to my children. My kids all have their own accounts now and feel welcome to do their banking without any help from me. If you're bank shopping, pick this bank.
