Banked with these guys for 4 years, was having surgery done in at UCLA hospital in Los Angeles and I had my first overdraft fee due to being unable to deposit cash—first overdraft in the history of my account with them. A manager was supposed to call me back but he did not even have the courtesy to do so. Manager's note upon calling the following week: "I would decline this request Bank Newport does not offer courtesy reversals, does not fall within qualifying guidelines." Just another Big Bank disguised as being any different. What can be seen with this policy and the treatment of customers is that unlike big banks, they won't even give a one time courtesy. Sure, Bank Newport, invest our money, but when a customer of 4 years requests a courtesy reversal due to unforeseen circumstances your response says it all. Closing account. I'd suggest looking to other solutions for your banking needs.
