  My wife and I just closed on our first home, and we were so glad that we chose Barry and his team as our lender! He came highly recommended by a fellow first-time homebuyer, and after calls with a few different folks, it was clear that Barry was the best fit for us. He was warm, responsive, and patient in explaining the process to us, and he always triple checked to make sure we understood the next steps and the implications of our decisions. He was not interested in maximizing the loan value but rather making sure we remained at a monthly payment that was comfortable and manageable for us. Specifically, when we were considering making an offer above our previously-agreed-upon upper limit, he was very thoughtful and thorough in making sure that we were thinking through the full set of implications and were comfortable with them, versus getting caught up in the moment of making an offer in a competitive market. Additionally, as first-time homebuyers, I had done some research going into the process, but we didn't know very much about what to expect. Barry always answered questions without making us feel silly, and he was willing to talk through things multiple times to make sure we understood. Finally, Barry and his team were able to underwrite and close the mortgage quickly, which helped us put in the most competitive offer possible in a challenging housing market. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Barry and would highly recommend him to friends looking to buy their first home!

  Barry Friedman, and his team at Fairway ~ like Kevin Maher, responded to every email, text & call if not immediately, then within hours. And every question was welcomed and treated respectfully. The normally stressful process of re-financing was kept low as I was "walked through" each step. And with all of the considerations for Covid 19 protocols, Barry and his team made sure I was comfortable. I'm grateful for securing my re-fi at a better rate, and to be able to afford the updates my house needs. Dana Levy
