Best experience I’ve had with a mortgage lender! Robby Cole was great. The application process was quick and easy. I had a pre-approval letter within an hour after submitting the required, and very straight forward, financial documents. Mr. Cole was very responsive, kept me informed every step of the way via both email and phone, and was patient and thorough answering any questions. I could not more highly recommend Robby Cole.

Two stars is only because of how proactive the BEGINNING of our process was. We have been waiting since April 2021 to close on a home, it is now late October -- loan types keep getting changed without our knowledge until after already changed, documents kept getting missed and/or not followed up on time to where they were expiring (restarting the entire process), etc. Being first time home buyers, Robby did ok explaining everything to an extent, then started seeming frustrated when things kept getting switched on their side and us not understanding. Ended up leaving Benchmark after numbers changed, AGAIN, and switched to Regions. Within 2 days, more has been done and we're almost through the entire process. Speaking with our new mortgage officer, they do not understand why the run around was given and/or why it took so long to close on a house. I would advise checking with the Better Business Bureau before picking a mortgage lender, especially if you are a first time home buyer. We failed to do so, and because of that, our credit score was ran multiple times, bringing it way down and almost 6 months wasted trying to close on a house. & apparently, this isn't out of the ordinary for this company. EDIT: Finally closed on our home - Title company informed us that we are not the only people who have come in there with complaints of this company with what happened. That is an issue. Stay far, far away.
