      If I was able to give 0 stars, I would have. I was working on a refinance and a purchase all at once. David Akiba called me and was very arrogant and unfriendly, advising that he would need to take out as much money as possible on my current home, to put down on my new purchase. He said that who ever worked on my file before, did everything backwards, and now he needed to save the day and fix everything. He said I didn't qualify for the purchase and my realtor shouldn't have been showing me houses in that price range. He said he was the only one that could make my loans go through, but I would need to take out 300K from my home and be left with no reserves for my purchase. I took my loan to someone else, and they were able to take the exact same file, and make both loans happen in record speed, and I didn't need to take out that much money, and I received a better rate for both refinance and purchase! I didn't know that there were people out there that would do this to me! Beware!!!!!

      Ms. Doucette. I think you have stated most of your information incorrectly. No application was ever given to you, and we did have only one phone conversation, based on the limited amount of documents I received. First off, before I got your limited file to review, credit was run by 5 separate lenders within 3 months, based on the inquiries on your credit report. So you have been shopping lenders, and in fact my company was next in line. The goal was to refinance and pull cash out of your primary residence, so you could purchase a new primary residence. As any underwriter should do, I ran your file through FNMA/FHLMC automated underwriting systems, for the purchase (to see how high a loan amount you would qualify for (per your request on an existing property you were already in escrow with, BEFORE I even received the limited documented file to review). I then ran your refinance through those same systems to see if I could get you the cash out to get the purchase loan you were seeking. Again, the documentation I received was limited, but I did have automated underwriting approval for both loans based on initial income, asset and credit documents, after receiving multiple denials with less cash used for the down payment on the purchase. I did present that option to you in order to get a conventional loan, which would be the best loan for you, based upon your credit. I also gave you a similar option for an FHA loan (although the better loan for you would be conventional based on credit). I also presented you with a third option, as Non-QM (but again, conventional was the better option). Your Realtor informed me you opted to choose another lender. Again, no application was given to you, only three options, over one phone call. Of course, you are encouraged to shop lenders. You obviously had done so five separate times before talking to me. If you did not want to go with the three option I presented, and use another lender, that is fine. However, as an underwriter, I gave you the best options available, based on FNMA/FHLMC guidelines, FHA guidelines, and Non-QM guidelines, all based upon the limited documentation I was given to work with by your realtor. Leaving a negative remark as you did, when I never even gave you an application, is simply wrong. I am not sure how many businesses, and/or other lenders you have done this to, but I know and can document, that your review of my company is simply based on incorrect information and no factual data. I hope you did not choose to write a negative review of the five prior lenders who pulled your credit and did not close your loan. Furthermore, hiding behind a social media platform, instead of an honest phone call and/or email is not fair to hard-working businesses who are providing services. As far as my demeanor, I have owned this business since 1995, and it is the first time that I have ever been accused of being "arrogant and unfriendly" by a borrower or prospect. Maybe you were upset because you did not want the options I presented, or was unhappy with the went to five lenders you went to previously. For 25 years, I have thousands of borrowers, most who come back, who will attest to my calm, friendly demeanor, and my vast amount of knowledge of this business. I am a mortgage banker, broker, loan officer, direct endorsement underwriter, funder, and loan originator. I have been doing all of these tasks for quite some time, so my knowledge of this business is very strong. My goal is always to help my borrowers achieve their mortgage needs, and I am willing to forget and help you if you ever are in need of an honest, experienced lender.
