Called last night to inquire if they gave estimates on the sale of medical equipment, i.e., wheelchairs, rollators, and bedside commodes so as to NOT waste my precious time. Was told, “YES!” Came in this morning to be told they do not buy these items and that the person answering the phone last night must be new. I’m looking at a wheelchair and rollator for sale right by the jewelry counter as this salesperson is unconcerned about solving this problem. NEVER coming back!!! This is a promise I WILL keep. No need for a response online since you failed me in person!

We are very sorry you had a bad experience at our store. Big Pawn does not promise any loans over the phone. We must see the merchandise in order to evaluate if the item has any damage or blemishes that make it unsellable to the public. For all products brought to our store by customers requesting a sale or loan, a record is kept by employees with date, product type, and a reason for the refusal. In order for an item to be refused, 2 employees must reject the item. This is to help prevent any one employee from refusing merchandise that would be saleable. Our store is sometimes confused with other pawn shops located in Indiana who have rules and regulations that may differ from ours and that we have no control over. You may have called their store instead of ours. We have no record of refusing any wheelchair or medical equipment for any reason in the past year. If you or anyone have wheelchairs, walkers, or other equipment that are in good condition we are happy to consider a purchase or loan on those items.
