  For a small town bank that should be capable of having a customer oriented standard, I am extremely disappointed for the lack of effort and care that was provided. The unfortunate service that was demonstrated specifically by the branch manager in lack of communication for 3 straight months after countless attempts is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. After opening an account in 2006 I was only closing my account due to moving out of state. After thinking I was in the clear for all of my accounts being transferred to a local bank account, I had the unfortunate notification of a large overdraft fee due to an account not being transferred. In good faith, the branch I opened my account with, was relayed to me as my best option for assistance. Needless to say the lack of assistance led my dept to be issued to a collection agency. The debt has been paid to the collection agency, and after this experience I can state I will never open a BMO account again.
