  Since my credit score was in the low five hundred after missing some payments on my credit card debt of $44,390, even though I never missed a mortgage payment or a car payment. So because none of my creditors would really work with me when I reached out to them directly for help, I thought that bankruptcy was really going to be my only solution. I meet with a bankruptcy attorney, and to my shock, the bankruptcy attorney said my monthly payments in bankruptcy were going to be $1500 if I did not want to sell my property or take out money from my retirement account. Instead of bankruptcy, I called around to different companies, but none of them could give me a payment that I could afford except for this one. Affordable Debt Consolidation was able to arrange a program for me to pay off my debt for only $659 a month, which was about a quarter of what the creditors wanted from me every month, and $850 less than the bankruptcy would have cost me. Had I known this program was available a long time ago, I would not have wasted so much money trying to pay the high interest, which I end up missing payments because the monthly amounts were so high. As of now, I am almost done with this program and will be able to start investing a lot more money in my retirement. I recommend anyone talk to this company if they are having trouble paying their debts.
