I finished closing on my house at the end of March. A very frustrating process that started around December 20th. Capital Title messed up multiple times and made no attempt to reach out, explain why, or apologize after. First they advised the sellers of two small liens which were taken care of immediately. The seller told them this and asked if there was anything more they needed to do. They were told no. Then we had to postpone the closing, because they had to scramble to get with those creditors and get all the release of lien paperwork that should have been taken care of back in January. Second Capital Title forgot to schedule the survey. So the survey team had to come out on a Sunday, on overtime, and get it done. Third Capital Title forgot to order the certificate of elevation with the survey, so closing was postponed for that same surveyor to come back out and do that weeks after the initial survey. After we signed they didn't come out and shake our hands, or even acknowledge that they messed up in any way to my wife or me. The only person at Capital Title I had any contact with was the receptionist and the lady who did our closing. They made it perfectly clear to me, that they have no clue what they are doing, don't care about their customers, and only care about getting paid. I definitely do not recommend this title company.
