  These guys are the best! Price was good and had the work done very quickly with great materials. Nothing was hidden from us. Everything was explained thoroughly and we could call Tim Ilderton at anytime. Highly recommended!

  This company was a great experience. I called 3 other companies first about a leak I had in my roof and everyone was a week or two, Carolina was able to see me in two days. They sent a man by the name of Brad out ( most professional contractor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with ), he was very nice and took his time with me. He evaluated my roof inside and out and came to the conclusion it was past repair and I needed a replacement. Needless to say I didn’t have it budgeted so he was able to help me get financing. Well it’s been almost 30 days and it looks great and no more leaks!

  In 2022, we discovered in a recent home inspection that a section of siding had been damaged by the crew who installed our roof (see our raving review below). The damage was significant but only visible from a not normally accessed/viewable area of the roof. The damage was the result of removal of the old roof. It was also concealed from us. In the interest of fair treatment, we contacted CHS and shared the information with them. They admitted the siding damage was caused by the roofing team, but they said they would not cover the cost of repair even though the damage was clearly caused by their work. When we asked the owner if he would accept the same treatment if it was his home, he said he would not. But he further continued to decline responsibility for repairing it. Unfortunately, we have to rescind our positive review of CHS from two years ago. Our home has been damaged by their negligence, and the damage was not revealed to us. Now we have to bear this expense out of pocket. Word from the now wise - if you work with CHS - check their work before they leave. Look under every shingle. Leave no flashing left unturned because once they leave, you're on your own. Disappointing... In 2020 we posted: Other roofers in Greensboro area pay attention to Carolina Home Specialists!! We had tried contacting 6 other roofers in the Greensboro area to help us. We left messages and either did not get a call back or were told they were too busy to take new customers. There loss. Tim and his team were the utmost professional. They came out and assessed our needs. After thoroughly inspecting our roof, they didn't try to scam us by telling us we had hail damage or storm damage like other roofers did to many of our neighbors. They gave us an honest estimate of damages and the cost to fix. We first thought we would only repair the damaged sections of our roof, but Tim made us a competitive offer to replace the entire roof. His team was easy to schedule, easy with whom to work and responsive to our needs. When the workers damaged some of our landscaping, Tim said, "We'll make it right." And, he did. We're completely satisfied, and we will work with Tim and his team again. If you need home repairs and want it done right, the first time, by a team who knows how to deliver excellent customer experience, Carolina Home Specialists is your place to go.

  Mr. Smith, As I explained to Matt yesterday, while I do understand your concern, I also cannot repair/replace your siding at no cost as the problem was not caused by our negligence. The problem occurred when the original builders of the house failed to prep the cut edge of the siding properly with primer and paint and then laid it directly onto the shingles thus allowing it to soak up water and slowly rot the edges over the years. When we removed the old shingles the edges of the siding broke away due to all of the rot and being laid directly on the shingles. This is something that could not have been prevented by us when we did your roof 3 years ago. The wall is properly flashed and will not leak, but the siding needs to be either cut away from the roof in a straight line and then sealed at the bottom or replaced completely due to the years of the siding soaking up water. While we are willing to do this work at our cost, we cannot in good faith do it for free. I am sorry you guys are upset and I can see this from your point of view, but I also hope you can see it from ours. Thanks!
