  I moved to the area in 2020 and love it. My finance lives in Floyd,Va. He had a government check he had to cash and didn't have time to go to Floyd to get it cashed, the ladies at Carter Bank were absolutely accommodating and understanding and with a little paperwork he was on his way, cash in hand. I was impressed, then I needed a document notarized and spoke with Rhonda at Carter Bank and Trust, the stanleytown Bassett branch, she was extremely pleasant, informative and helpful. It's for these reasons I'm switching all my finances and banking needs to Carter Bank and Trust! When you get out the way, stellar, and outstanding service these ladies and this Bank provides you hold on to it! Bravo!

  Carter is a lifetime free checking bank. I've banked with them for 40 years. I've never had any issues with service and the tellers at the Bassett branch where I do most of my banking are always polite and outgoing. Also any questions I have they are always happy to take the time when helping.

  I've been with Carter Bank & Trust around 35 yrs with no major issues. Just wish we were provided with an ATM to withdraw and deposit after business hours. 😁

  Lisa, we really appreciate your positive review! We have ATMs at select locations, with a plan to have them installed at all of our branches in the next couple of years. The closest ATM to you is at our Martinsville Branch, across from Chick-Fil-A. You also have access to more than 37,000 ATMs to withdraw money surcharge free through the MoneyPass® Network.
