      I have been a customer since 2006 and never had a bad experience with this bank until 2020. A teller at the Pine Street branch was rude but I just chalked it up to someone having a bad day. This month (March 2022), associates were rude at the Hough Road branch to a friend of mine and to me over a cash deposit. I spoke with the area manager who seemed to be a genuine, concerned individual before he spoke to the manager of the branch. Apparently, the opinions and ideas of the branch manager are valued over the concerns of the customer. I think the overall concept of my conversation with the area manager got lost in the fact that I was upset over HOW things were presented by the associates at this branch versus WHAT was presented (as was the case with the incident at Pine Street nearly 2 years ago). After Citizens Bank became CB&S Bank and has continued to grow since I became a customer, it has lost the friendliness of a small-town bank and is now comparable to a larger chain bank. I have never had a bad experience at my home branch in Muscle Shoals, but the Florence branches need some employee attitude coaching. I am in the process of switching my 4 deposit accounts to a credit union that is smaller but has much higher deposit rates. I'll also be closing out my Home Equity Line of Credit with CB&S Bank in May when a CD matures. Good things can come out of being treated rudely :-)
