  Called asking for a 10 day pay off balance and was put on hold three separate times. Left a callback number three separate times. Total wait was 45 minutes. Each time I spoke with someone and requested a pay off balance they sent me off to someone else until finally the last person said they could not help me. I asked for a manager and the kid transferred me to a CALIFORNIA branch. The guy there (4th person I spoke with) was confused why I would be transferred to him since I’m in Illinois, but GLADLY helped me. Took care of my quote, faxed it to my bank and even called me back later to confirm I was good to go. He even emailed me a confirmation form just in case his fax didn’t go through. Anyway, this branch was horrible. Getting a balance to pay off a loan shouldn’t take the better part of an hour.

  Do you enjoy waking up to $3,000 missing from your checking account? Are you a fan of setting up autopay to have your car payment paid on the first of the month, only to have your payment taken out whenever the bank feels like it? Do you love when a financial institution has the nerve to charge you a $300 late fee because they can’t take your money when they are instructed to do so? Do you love seeing random fees added to your account because even though you’ve sent them your insurance documents multiple times they can’t seem to find them, and instead of asking you for them they just add fees to the principle of your loan? I feel bad for the people who work customer service at this place. That job can’t be easy! I have never had a worse experience with a financial institution in my entire life! I would not recommend a loan or any sort of account at CEFCU to my worst enemy.
