      I want to thank this bank & it's friendly teller. I have recently moved back to this area. I simply needed to buy a roll of quarters to spend at the Fort Scott laundromat. I was previously turned down at 2 other banks. 1st bank because I wasn't a business & there is a "coin shortage"; 2nd I wasn't an existing customer. This is the way to earn new customers!

      I cannot say enough good things about this small locally owned bank and the lovely people that work there. We chose this bank for a mortgage on our home when we first moved back to Fort Scott. Two months later I lost my husband and John (now the President) took the time to walk me through financial ends of dealing with such a loss. He set up a beneficiary account for our infant daughter and handled all of the paperwork end of things to lighten my load. Since that time I have purchased two different houses and a few vehicles using City State Bank for financing every time. Each time, I felt well taken care of and informed. We choose to use City State Bank for our daily banking needs as well.
