      We decided that we were going to sell our first home back in July 2021. We looked at many builders and decided to go with this one particular builder that had Dena Miller as the loan officer. We did our pre-approval process in August and was approved on a new build. According to Dena, as long as we stayed on track with getting everything to her on time and continuing to work, we would not have any problems.  We submitted all requested documents to Dena and Candice(at that time was our loan processor). Everything something was requested; we submitted it at that time. We would reach out to Dena to confirm everything was going well, and she assured us that everything was fine. We were in good standing with DTI and had our down payment, bills were being paid on time, etc. Okay, so we SOLD our family home on November 8,2021, with confidence that everything was in order. Our new home was being built, and we were discussing how it would be decorated for our 4 girls. Then, we started to reach Dena and Melissa(new processor) because the calls had stopped and never returned when we would call in. NO ONE responded to emails, and if they did, it was outside of business hours, so we could not make phone contact. We knew guidelines had changed, which allowed us to be eligible for more money, and we wanted to confirm with Dena, and she did confirm but seemed to have never updated our file. She did inform us that due to the changes, our down payment was much lower, and again, we were on track with everything and to keep up the good work. We were unaware that our file was never updated, and although all the information was provided, they had never verified employment, although that was submitted in the beginning.  Our credit was run 3 times within 90 days, and  everything we gave was put aside. So, we became concerned and decided to look at other lenders. Our forever home is in the final stages and we find out that there was no way Dena got an approval for the start of build, not that we didn't make the money but no way at the time of approval we would have qualified to start our new build. She did not notify anyone at the builders' office about the file or anu updates! WE SOLD OUR HOME!!! We drove by our forever home with our girls 4 days a week to witness the progress. We did walk-ins with them, we took pictures, we laughed in excitement, and we picked rooms. This whole time, we were selling our kids a dream because our worst nightmare has come true, and the home is no longer ours. How do we tell our kids that we sold their home to move into another home, only to find out that we will be in this apartment until we are able to start all over with the process? We picked the perfect spot with the perfect view, just to have it all gone. We were on top of EVERYTHING! It is not acceptable that people like Dena and her team get to gamble with people's lives. We would still be in our home working on what needed to be done to get into our new home, but now we are HOMELESS, living in a 2 bedroom apartment trying to figure out our next steps. Yes, we could have started another contract, but we lost so much more in the process that it does not feel the same anymore. DENA MILLER AND HER TEAM has caused so much stress and heartache that she should be FIRED! NO WAY she she able to make decisions so important to the lives of others. She has ruined the home buying experience. We have not heard back from Dena AT ALL! How professional is that? It's definitely not star rated!

      Going through CLM was my worst experience dealing with buying a home. I’m transitioning out of the military so I wanted to move closer to family and decided to go through Chesmar. I purchase a lot, designed a new home for me and my daughters, and sold my old home home. I did not hear back about the home for months, after sending emails. Finally I started hearing from Chesmar and later from a loan officer Mrs. Earls. I never received a correct estimate, what I received was difficult to understand. Some days I would get an email saying I will receive a call, I did not hear from anyone and always had to get back with me. Nothing was simple with this process. I explained to her my issue, she said no worries. I was later told I needed to send her all my paperwork in order to close on time before I even knew the closing date of NOV 20, 2020. I rush to get her all my documents and Veteran disability information. The next day I was told I do not qualify for a loan. Chesmar the same day called, I explained I will go through my bank who was waiting to hear back from me. I was told they will put the house up for show. I explained to them I had doctors appointments to attend, my bank will give me the loan for the home I just need a closing date a week later, from my bank. Chesmar was not willing to work with me and assist me with the home I designed for me and my girls that was looking forward to living in. I hope whoever purchase the home I had built for my family is just as happy as my girls was about living there, your welcome.
