  Top notch company! Any little issue that came up was handled by Jay and Giselle. They worked diligently to deliver exactly what they promised from day one! There were no corners cut, just solid professional work! We were able to buy our home, with a down-payment that worked for us and got an incredible interest rate. We have been self employed for over 30 years and Jay found the right lender for us! If you have unique needs in obtaining a mortgage, Jay Spurlin is a master in his field! Thank you Giselle and Jay for everything!

  We are in the middle of the lending process and our lender has completely dropped the ball on our loan. We have received multiple notifications that our loan was moving along as needed and that we have moved in to underwriting, when in fact they are lying. We were scheduled to close on our house this morning and we are now officially homeless because our lender didn't actually do his job and get the loan to underwriting. I will never refer someone to this corporation or the next level processing group that is supposed to be preparing this loan.

  We take these Google Reviews very seriously. I also hold people accountable for their actions and no one at Coastal Funding Corporation dropped anything on your loan. Your original loan on the property you chose not to purchase due to condition of the property per the inspection, makes the timeline seem longer than what it actually is. Your current loan was submitted on 5/17. It was approved and disclosures were sent on 5/18. There was a slight appraisal delay due to the location of the property. Not uncommon in the area. Everything was on track until your Home Inspection came in with repairs needed. That added extra time to have the repairs completed. I take the accusation of lying very personal. I have made a 22 year career of being honest, often blunt and direct to the point with every client I have had the pleasure of helping. If anyone ever feels this is not the case, (843) 267-3408 is the first step in resolution. You WERE scheduled to close. But with the house you sold, it was never disclosed there was an additional seller. This required extra documentation. You then added your husband to the account that the proceeds were deposited, requiring additional documentation. You then moved the money into another account, requiring additional documentation. We needed the repairs to be completed to get your Homeowners Insurance in place. But even with every self inflicted hiccup on this file, were are still less than 30 days. You are not homeless. Your realtor, (who is awesome by the by) got you and your husband early occupancy and you were allowed to move into your new home before you actually closed. Waiting on bank statements, we were not issued a Clear to Close on Friday. The seller apparently now doesn't want to close until 6/17. Make no mistake, we take our job very seriously. We have an excellent reputation of being able to close what no one else can, approved those who can not qualify for traditional financing. We hate to lose a valuable referral source, but if Coastal Funding is going to receive a bad 1-Star review, it needs to be warranted and earned because of poor performance or mistakes made, not from issues outside of our control. It is regrettable you feel you had a bad experience. You are Clear to Close.
