  When we shared our frustrations regarding our realtor Jane Mostow - Coldwell Banker apologized to us on the phone and admitted that she had done "similar" things before but decided in the end there was nothing that they could or would do for us. My review of realtor Jane Mostow is below: We had the extremely unfortunate experience of having Jane Mostow as our realtor. I am writing this review simply to save others from her overall incompetence and lack of professionalism. She was representing Coldwell Banker Prime Properties which we believed to be a company in good standing; however that was not the case. We were selling our family home that we lived in for over 30 years - this was a big decision. We picked a realtor named Jane Mostow. Jane presented herself as an experienced realtor, she assured us that she knew the market, that she knew how to list the house appropriately; she was not short on her hubris. Jane had our home listed within 24 hours BUT listed with many mistakes of fact in the listing: ie wrong lot size, wrong home size, lack of appropriate photos, etc. When we called to advise her of her errors in the listing, she literally said there was "nothing she could do." She was never able to correct the listing errors and as a result we missed out on people who may have been interested in our home- because it had been listed incorrectly. She continually encouraged us to lower the price of our home - a price point that she set - because she was not invested in getting us the most for our property. She was getting ready to leave for her winter in Florida. BOTTOM LINE - Do you want a realtor that you never, ever see after you sign your contract? Jane Mostow could not be bothered. She is rude and looking to make an easy buck at others' expense. Save yourself. Go with anybody else and avoid Coldwell Banker as well; as they did nothing to help us in our frustration with Jane. I am incredibly disappointed that I need to write such a public declaration of incompetence but Jane is intransigent, unapologetic, unprofessional and unethical.

  I am sorry that you feel you had a bad experience with our company; your concerns are important to us. Upon investigation of this matter, it does appear that Mr. James Avery did call our Camillus office and speak to a manager and relayed his displeasure with an appraisal issue; no mention of any other concerns or complaints with the service you received from CBPP were relayed to us at any time. Our manager investigated the matter on the appraisal and did call Mr. Avery back to advise him that the appraisal was not done by Coldwell Banker, but was done prior to listing by an outside appraisal company. We can say, without question, that the comments you made are not the norm and are out of character for our company. We always act in the best interest of the client, not our bottom line. This is reflected by us having one the best consumer satisfaction scores in the industry, nationwide.   We purchased a home requiring a 3 month wait, using Mary Doody-Horton as our realtor. It was a 1000 mile, complex relocation. Throughout the process, whenever we inquired as to the status of our July 1st closing, we were told "Everything is on track." We had 2 moving vans scheduled as well as unloading crews booked months ago to accomodate our July 1st date. As July 1st approaches, Mary has not given us a time for closing but insists all is on track. When I call our attorney 3 days prior (since we've not heard anything from Mary and she is on vacation), I'm told nothing is scheduled! W H A T ?? She never insured that the closing had been set up. THAT IS HER JOB! I made the calls, scheduled with our attorney's partner and got it done on a day prior to a holiday weekend when all involved were overbooked. Thankfully our attorney's paralegal understood the dilemma we were in. In the now 11 real estate closings I've been a party to, this was pathetic.
