      Aubrea, Steve, Teri, and the whole gang at Columbia Funding Mortgage are not notch. I would not have a house to call home if it wasn't for all the extra effort Aubrea and the team put in to my loan. My credit-PTSD was so bad that I was afraid to fill out a loan app. Life has kicked me more than a few times and left its mark on my credit report. I am very thankful that Aubrea convinced me to try. Without her, my life long dream of home-ownership would not be a reality. The process itself was simple and easy. They were able to take care of most everything electronically. This made the loan process so easy! I was able to get them the documentation they needed on the fly without having to try and sneak away from work or suffer delays from additional time needed to deliver documents. I live in Olympia and my agent lives in the south sound too. None of this geographic shuffle was a concern and Aubrea was able to work closely with my agent to ensure everything went according to plan. I strongly recommend you reach out to these folks if you're looking for a home loan. You will not be disappointed!

      We bought our house through Steve initially. We also received a Christmas card and a few emails fishing for refinance business. At the time we weren't interested but later we inquired and Steve was very quick to get the ball rolling. We told him we wanted to do a cash out refinance and he said he could deliver. Well, after 3 wks of minimal communication and many emails back forth we said screw it! He didn't remember that we wanted to do a cash out and started our file as a regular refinance, im sure because thats what's quick and easy for him. He told us we needed to appraise to find out how much cash out we could receive and the price of the appraisal would be less for a refinance and could be rolled into the loan cost.... lies. It sounded good! After getting us reeled in, he and his team communicated twice over a 2 week period and when they did, went against everything we initially talked about in the first place... Great news, No appraisal needed! No Steve, you said we needed it for cash out...? Oh, yeah I forgot about that. Ok, let's get appraised and you have to pay out of pocket. No Steve, you said we could roll it into the loan? Did I say that? Oh, well that sounds like something I would do for a great customer like you! (Cheese ball.) Ok, we ordered the appraisal, its $670. No Steve, that's the price of an initial appraisal, you said it would be significantly less for a refinance? I never said that. Ok, We're done here. Ok Gina, have a good day. Wow! Sounds like someone got called out and couldn't deliver. Does this sound like someone you would want to do business with? No. My general opinion is that they might be ok for first time home buyers that just nod and have no idea what's going on but ultimately they just tell you what you want to hear until you're roped in and then do what benefits them not you.

      Steve Knox was my brother’s mortgage broker recently. My brother’s wife shared a post on her personal Facebook page expressing empathy for the black community. Steve commented with: “Pathetic pandering for validation Not an original post and it’s literally so silly and needy of you When they come for your house You should show them this post so they will not hurt you or your family” I am horrified that this man would attack my sister in law like this. Not only completely unprofessional, but just a HORRIBLE thing to say.
