  I absolutely cannot believe this place remains in business. I sent them a check to pay off my credit card; they lost my check. I called them on the phone 10 days later because my check had not cleared at my other bank, and it took an hour of holding to finally get someone on the phone! They told me over the phone to just cancel the check because they had no record of it. So I cancelled my check & paid them another way. Lucky for me (and no thanks to the bank), I had tried to pay off the credit card early... otherwise, I'm sure they would have slapped me with late fees. This was not my first bad experience with this bank, so I filled out paperwork to close my accounts with this awful bank and was assured that my account would be closed the following business day. The bank did not close my account. Instead, they apparently eventually found my check -- weeks after I had paid off the credit card -- and charged me $25 for a "return check fee" for a check that they had lost and told me to cancel. So they decided that I now had a $25 returned check fee and my account couldn't be cancelled. But guess what? They never informed me of this change. I only found out because I went by the bank to ensure that they had closed my damned account. I presume the bank just planned to keep my closed account open and accruing fees indefinitely. Absolutely the worst place to do business. I will never ever work with this bank again. You shouldn't either.
