  The name says it. This is a community bank. What Calvert Bank once was. Friendly, helpful people. Cathy, Heather, April, Rose, Kim, Lacey, and Bonnie, just to name a few. Largely, they grew up here, so the staff has continuity and you are not always dealing with someone new. And Annie said to tell you they have the best dog treats too. Dave Fegan

  I recently moved to Maryland from Missouri and was recommended to Community Bank of the Chesapeake. The customer service employee in the Prince Frederick Branch was polite and helpful setting up my account. I was shocked 2 weeks latter when I found a business check I deposited was being held for 5 business days without access to my funds. This was a "Business Check from a Fortune 500 Company" not from an individual or small business. Per my business experience I am aware these type of checks typically clear in less than 24 hours due to electronic banking that has been the norm for a decade or more. Myself and my wife are not deadbeats...we have a 740 credit score and have just purchased a home in Maryland with a purchase price of $421,000. Why would Community Bank of the Chesapeake choose to withhold our funds!!! Evidently they don't value their customers the way I expect. Sincerely Bob Simpson

  I was simply going in to deposit some cash and had a lovely costumer service experience with Kathryn and she even helped me talk about some personal options and ideas for moving forward as a new college student with a pretty small bank account haha. Would definitely recommend this branch!! Thanks Kathryn! :)
