  Just recvd the letter of denial of loan. Very concerning of their conclusions and practices. One point was completely untrue. "Derogatory public information related to lawsuit with tenant and former financial institution." Our company has NEVER had legal action regarding 1. Any past or current tenant 2. Any past or current financial institution. I find it extremely concerning that their underwriter will not pay attention, use, the very information that is on the application we completed, then ask again for the same information. Yet, they make unfounded conclusions, take as gospel, information from public sites, but ask for no clarification, explanations. Really?! Their secondary reason, "Insufficient experience, and liquidity". This Women Owned Business has over 8 years of real property management. I am not sure how many years is required to be considered "experienced". Especially considering owners age of over sixty. It's not like like wet behind the ears applicant. As for liquidity, the funds are available, and were on deposit last week. Most times in past financing institutions would ask for proof of funds. Again, CBS asks for information clearly stated on the application but then would NOT ask for clarification of what is wanting on the application. Obviously CBS prerogative but rightly or wrongly appears that CBS approves on a Guilty until proven Innocent, only seeking No Risk loans. Certainly not a company could recommend for fellow WBE, small business owners for the above stated reasons.
