  I'm sure that I will not be the only one to write a review like this, but stay away! Gary seems nice enough, but he's a great salesman. He has nothing to do with the actual business other than giving you options and getting things signed. We signed a contract with them almost a full year ago and as part of that there is a clause that states prices are locked for 90 days but can change until foundation is poured. Ok, I get that. It doesn't seem unreasonable until you find out (not from Coval) that the county takes WAY longer than 90 days. Also they don't tell you that if you even leave it essentially unchanged (we put in an extra door and took out a closet for modifications) that they will get the plans that you need to submit for permitting won't get back to you until 85 days into that 90 days. With all the lumber and other building materials rising and falling I get the price increase but there was no steps up until bam! 20% more required to continue ($60,000). Then they were graciously (read in sarcastic tones) offered to take $5,000 off. We asked if we could buy the plans so we wouldn't have to go through permitting again. No. We asked if we could get a shell of that house. Sure if you pay 100% cash (for the original price of our build!). Crooks. Shady. Not responsive. STAY CLEAR!
