  This used to be one of the most fine established businesses that I have dealt with in regards to “building my credit”. As you all may know how tricky credit can be. I decided to start building my credit as young adult and by doing so, I figured taking out a small credir loan to help expand my credit scores. Keep in mind this is in 2019 when I first had taken out a loan from Covington. Fast forward, here’s 2022 where I am battling depression, going through the lost of a loved one, financial crisis due to inflation and caring for my mother, etc. and is asking for a week extension only because a staff member here made an negligent mistake and didn’t advise to me that they were not taking my payment initially when it was due via ach check instead of my debit card. So, that resulted in a return check fee after innocent, me having no clue that my payment didn’t process when it was due. So, I ask for ONLY A WEEK extension on my actual pay week and Jenny (the manager) calls to tell me in the most impertinent, startling, (not really), i’ll-mannered way that I must come up with “HER” money by 5:30 PM. Ridiculous right? I have never felt so low, emotional, and appalled in my life. I could not believe I was talked to so harshly. That really hurt my feelings because I always thought this company was sweet and very helpful, I have bragged about and referred so many people to this specific location. Following after she had made me wee small , she threatens to have my work check garnished. Keep in mind, I am a young, black, gay male (which is probably the reason Jenny has an issue with me) who has experienced so much trauma growing up and still manages to stay strong and be independent. I can honestly say I cannot wait to be done paying this company off and never dealing with them or referring anyone else to them again for that matter. I am absolutely disgusted to say the least. To Jenny, I hope you find peace and comfort. God bless you!
