  This review is overdue!! My husband and I worked with Gary and others at Directors Mortgage and had the smoothest experience! Even with all the paperwork and number crunching, they made the process easy to understand, were very communicative and supportive, and worked with us to help us secure our first home. They provide a rewards account as well, so we earn extra money each month that we can apply to our mortgage payments! Gary is super thoughtful and has sent us cards and other things to congratulate us on our home purchase. I cannot recommend them more highly!

  This experience was horrible. After meeting with Tyler and going over the options prior to obtaining all my partner’s information and running his credit report (which he refused to give us a copy of), he then tells us our only option requires 25% down. This could have been brought to our attention at any point during the duration of this prior and we would have walked away, but he waited until after the fact. I will never use this company, and I will make sure to let everyone know how bad this experience was with this lender.

  Directors used an ilegal "Bait and Switch" tactic which caused great distress to me and my three young children. We were approved for refinance and new purchase loans and after going into contract for our new home, renting our current house out and going to a hotel for a few weeks before closing on the new home I was called a week before closing and told they couldn't offer me the 3.5% original loan but they could get me a 9% loan which I could refinance three months later. This meant more closing costs in their pockets. Nothing in my income or credit had changed and we were left homeless after I refused to sign the high interest loan they were trying to force on me by taking advantage of the fact that we were in a hotel with no home. For months I struggled to find permanent housing and Directors refused to take responsibility and did not help in anyway even though they were at fault and knew we were left homeless. Every opportunity I'm able to I always share my story with other home buyers to warn them of this company. Mark Hanna (owner) is also known for unethical behavior. Wish I would have known this beforehand to spare my little girls the months of homelessness they had to endure at the hands of an unethical company like Directors Mortgage. 1 Timothy 6:10 There are so many ethical mortgage lenders out there that do Not use illegal "bait and switch" tactics. Choose one of those companies instead of Directors!!
