  Doug was great throughout the whole process and we couldn't recommend him more! He was very patient, answering all of our questions in a quick and efficient manner. He was also always very reachable and easy to get ahold of.

  I honestly can’t say enough great things about Doug. His professionalism, patience, support and quick follow up is amazing. My husband and I had a long journey through the process of getting a house and Doug was always there to offer support and all the answers to my MANY questions. His enthusiasm shines through to his work which made us feel comfortable and that we were in the best of hands.

  Douglas was careless and disorganized. My mortgage wasn’t finalized until an hour prior to signing and we were still being asked for last minute documents the same day. Douglas provided a list of needed documents when we began working with him. The more items we sent him, the more was needed. I understand there will be some things that pop up, but I would expect that the initial list provided would be pretty exhaustive. Douglas requested private health information from my father, the secondary borrower, in order to justify ONE WEEK my father had taken off of work for LIFE SAVING SURGERY. I was asked last minute to sign a document - everything was supposedly on hold because I hadn’t signed. I opened the document and it turned out I had, in fact, already signed it. Literally no one had looked at it. This was a terrible experience and I’ve already warned all of my friends and family to avoid Douglas and Movement Mortgage like the plague. I’m not usually the type to write negative reviews - everyone messes up at times and I wouldn’t want to be judged on my worst day - but this is a person who should understand the stress of buying a home, especially as a first time home buyer. Every concern I brought to him was brushed off as “normal industry standards”. He was also incredibly patronizing and unprofessional, calling my 72 year old father “buddy” and perpetually ignoring my concerns, despite being the primary borrower. He and his team absolutely do not communicate amongst themselves so no one is on the same page and no one knows what the next step is. I know there are a lot of good reviews on here, and I do believe he saved me some money overall, but I will never work with Douglas or his team again. There is no amount of money that would make working with this man a good idea. Also if you're wondering how there are so many 5 star reviews, when I posted this originally he had reached out to "try to fix things" in exchange for this review to be removed.
