      Downeast Credit Union is the way banking should be. They are always helpful and professional and they do it all with good humor and a smile. If you're looking for a friendly place to do your banking around Belfast, I highly recommend the Belfast branch of Downeast Credit Union.

      The customer service at the belfast location just keeps getting worse. I waited in the drive thru for 5 minutes with no one even acknowledging that I was there. I could see 2 employees talking to each other but neither paid any attention to me. I understand that they may have had customer inside that I couldn't see but in the past, they at least told you they would be right with you. I know its a tough time to be hiring but just going to be a tough time staying in business if you let employees treat customers like that.
