  For your own good, please stay away from this mortgage company. They will lure you in with sweet talks and empty promises that they will never deliver. As a first time homebuyer, I got to connect with Monika through my realtor because she thought she would be able to close my type of loan which is a little difficult. Communication was terrible. Text, email, call, she wouldn’t even bother replying. I didn’t even get loan estimate until 5 days before closing (they had 45 days), and until 2 days before closing, they said “property tax was done wrong” so I would need a co-signer. What?? Who even does property tax wrong? Just like a previous review says, they will say one excuse after another and waste your time like that. There are other loaners out there who are effective and efficient, Empire is absolutely not one. Now the house has other offers and we will most likely lose our deposit. Worst experience of my life!
