I've been a customer for almost 30 years. I buy my jewelry at Empire Loan and I've pawned items there. Their customer service is top notch! Chrissy at Empire Loan is the best! I've known her for many years and she's always smiling and she knows exactly what like in jewelry. I highly recommend this place for buying and pawning. As of today 4/4/2022 Empire Loan on Broad St in Providence is still my favorite place. Chrissy... Awesome!

This is the worst place I ever been girl waiting on me had the worst attitude very unprofessional treated me like I stole the scrap gold kept asking for my driver's license like she never saw a real ID before then snapped my picture without informing me that they keep a photo of people who do business with them I felt like I was the criminal I would never go ther again it was my first and last time

All pawn shops and secondhand dealers are required to report every transaction to local lawn enforcement. The law requires that you need to have a valid government issued ID and that we are required by law to provide local law enforcement with pictures of the items we take in along with a photo of the person conducting the transaction. We're sorry you were uncomfortable with this however those are the laws. We apologize if you felt this was unprofessional.
