As a client service professional myself, I can't believe how bad my experience was with Kirk and his team at Parkmont. I hate leaving bad reviews for people. At every point possible, I try to find ways to redeem the working relationship so that I can justify feeling good about leaving good reviews for people. All I will say is my working with them just kept getting worse and worse. To their credit, they did stick with me as I backed out of 3 different contracts for legitimate reasons. And they did finally close the loan on my 4th purchase agreement. But the entire process from start to finish working with them was full of unprofessionalism. I would have ended up hiring a different lender had I realized how bad it would have gotten earlier on. I would not recommend anyone work with this lender if they can help it. They were confrontational and just unprofessional in many ways throughout the process. Indeed, beyond hearing from the regional manager that my loan was finally clear to close one day short of us losing the house (because they took so long to process the application and the seller would not extend the contract any further), I never heard from them again. I just cannot believe how unprofessional they were. There were many more issues beyond that. Kirk is a habitual interrupter. Every single time I had a question, he would interrupt me and not let me finish and then answer the question he thought I was asking, which was never the right assumption. At one point, I ended up talking to Kirk's boss. I was trying to explain to him diplomatically that I had been having a very hard time working with Kirk because he was interrupting so much. The only problem is that Kirk's boss, Parish, did not let me finish what I was saying about Kirk's problem with interrupting because Parish himself interrupted me as I was saying it. He proceeded to not let me finish my thoughts throughout the ten minute conversation. Kirk told me up front that I could get a conventional approval on the property I was making an offer on. The seller accepted our offer because it was conventional. Then a couple weeks into the contract, he suddenly told me he couldn't get a conventional approved and we had to switch to FHA. This enraged the seller and we almost lost the house. The seller thought we were pulling a bait and switch on her. Their communication was absolutely terrible all through the process. They only told me what they believed I needed to know and no more. And when I would ask questions to get a more clear understanding of our situation, they would get angry at me and tell me what a bad client I am. Kirk actually told me I was his worst client he's ever had, even though I was doing all I could to make their job easier and to get the loan closed smoothly. I try to be as amiable and helpful and understanding as possible, and yet if I challenge him or his team at all, they would accuse me of being confrontational. Furthermore, even though we almost lost the house because of them dragging their feet on processing the loan, and even though knew it was a problem and we needed them to help my wife and I feel like everything was ok, we never heard from them and we had to contact them for any updates. We ended up closing 3 weeks later than the original closing date. It got so bad that I go to a point that I wondered if they were trying to sabotage our loan application. I had to look up the VP's contact info and tell him I wondered if his team was trying to sabotage the loan application because I made them angry by asking for updates on whether we had clear to close too often. They didn't seem to care about us and the risk we had that we might lose the house at all. From start to finish, my experience with this Parkmont office was terrible. And it got progressively worse as time went on. Overall, the feeling I got from them was that they are self-important and arrogant and I better not question them or challenge them or I will be put in my place. And they were working for me. I feel bad even typing this. But it must be said.

Perhaps other divisions of Parkmont are professional and care about the client. But beware if you get Stacie from the Cary NC division. At first I thought she was just new and learning but it turns out she was just incompetent and a liar that seemed to know we were already so far invested into our loan timeframe with Parkmont that we had no choice but to do our best not to upset her or she would go crazy in us and make us fear she would do something to sabotage our loan. Worst experience ever. I had emailed their main office to voice my concern, spoke to Nick. He said he would look into it and get back to me. Nothing further from Nick but the next day they fired the one person of the 2 we were dealing with that seemed to be honest and Stacie was “professional enough” to tell us in her clear hatred for us that the other person was fired for lying to customers about the status of their loans. OMG!! We were held hostage by the people in order to get our loan done 2 weeks late. They had 3 months and the only stipulation by the seller was to close on 4/1. If it weren’t for the 14 day grace period in NC we would have lost that home that our family fell in love with because of either the incompetence or the overall lack of caring by our loan officer. If I could have given her zero stars I would. If you are her superiors and reading this. Expect to hear from us, next week. You will have some interesting reading when we send you our emails as well as the emails of our agent. I can’t believe Stacie didn’t think our agent wouldn’t share her correspondence with us. Even the legal assistant at the title company had made a comment about how unhelpful Stacie was and she only had to speak to her for a few minutes. So I will say this again. Overall, parkmont may not be bad, but if you are dealing with Stacie from the Cary NC office. Good luck, you’re going to need it.
