  I used Chris Garceau at evergreen home loans to buy a property in Tacoma, WA. I initially chose Chris over other companies because he gave competitive rates for the 30 year fixed mortgage I was shopping for, but I ended up being so glad to have picked him for his ability to navigate a very difficult and unforeseen scenario for closing on the house. The house ended up having a permit violation recorded against the title, which required the seller to bring the house up to code before any lender could complete a loan on it. Chris gave great advice through the long wait process of whether we should keep extending the rate lock or break it, and when push came to shove at the end of the process he was able to escalate to VP level internally and drive around at midnight to get documents signed and submitted so that we could meet our closing deadline. Taking his advice on extending the rate lock saved me about $600/mo since interest rates skyrocketed during the time we would have been waiting to re-lock. Great advice, great rates, great service. Just save yourself some time and call Chris, he’ll take good care of you.
