      I’ve had an account with this bank and SECU for several years. I recently got married, (a year ago). I changed my name with no issue at SECU, all I had to do was show my drivers license and social with my new name. However this bank wants copy of my marriage license, drivers license, social security card. Please explain why a small bank with only 5 branches needs extra documentation. They state it’s for audit but seems like a credit union would need more documentation vs a small bank. So we closed out 3 accounts!

      Our church has been using F&M at the Concord branch for several years now. You could not ask for nicer more professional people to deal with. I was so impressed with the level of service we started doing business with them personally. Cabarrus and Rowan counties are blessed to have a local bank like F&M Bank..
