  I was banking with Truist and can tell you that since the merger, it had been nothing but headaches and hidden fees. I had finally had enough and at the suggestion of a good friend, to Fairwinds. I walked into Fairwinds about 15 min before they were going to close (I didn't realize what time they closed) and I was greeted immediately. I explained my situation and they helped me open up new accounts with them. I was impressed by the customer service as they stayed after 4 in order to make sure I was set up, knew how the app worked, knew about each account and its details and had no further questions. They could have easily just said it was going to take too long and come back when the bank re-opens. Did they stay because they were getting new accounts? Maybe. But at the same token, they could have just opened them and sent me on my way without the individual attention to each and every detail. I work in customer service. I can tell you that this is an excellent example. Thank you!

  WORSE BANK EVER!!! My son is disabled, he has a TBI. He opened an account at Fairwinds for direct deposit. He was hacked twice!! The second time a fraudulent check was deposited into his account. He filed a police report & a fraud report with Fairwinds. Today he went to check on it & they closed his account without explanation & asked him to leave the bank...WTH!!!!!
