Very, very disappointed! I talked to a Kathryn Greenfield about getting a loan on a little under 10 acres. I was told they could do it with 15% down. Ok great! So I sent her everything she needed and she got back with me and said I was prequalified and everything looked good. Well then the next afternoon she calls and says I need an additional $10,000 in my account for as she called it a "cash reserve". They just wanted to make sure I could pay all my bills for the next 6 months. I said really? I have the down payment. I have the credit. My husband has a great income. It didnt matter. I talked with my realtor, friends, family and even other banks and not one of them had ever heard of this. So since i couldn't come up with an extra $10,000 I was denied the loan even though I had everything necessary. I asked her why didnt you tell me this before running my credit? She said, well I'm telling you now. She was very rude and had been through it all! They should tell you everything up front! Not wait til the end and then pull the rug from underneath you!
