  Be warned. Do NOT ever use this company for a mortgage unless you are willing to play a dangerous game of Russian roulette. I just exited a failed deal with FDM that lasted over 80 days with 8 extensions, all of which were entirely the fault of the FDM broker. I now have to put my house back on the market because of their incompetent actions. Scrolling through these reviews, I notice a lot of very positive reviews with several FDM brokers. The ones I dealt with are not mentioned, and there is a reason for that. Several negative reviews describe almost the same exact level of negligence and incompetence we experienced. I will not name names here because I want to ensure it stays public. Maybe you’ll be assigned a good broker and get lucky, or maybe you’ll be assigned one of the several people we (and the buyer) dealt with and you’ll be in line for an absolutely horrifying experience. But the bottom line is, FDM is willing to continue to employ obviously incompetent people on a commission basis on the off chance they close a couple lucky deal a year in spite of themselves. The FDM team I dealt with was continuously deceitful, offering excuses one week and asking for an extension and then contradicting the previous excuse the following week. Red flags popped up the fist time I spoke with the FDM broker because they blamed everything on the delay on the buyer, despite the fact the they were ‘pre-qualified’. The broker was at the very least offensive (and sometimes much worse) on several occasions in email and phone conversations, and the level of deceit at almost every turn upon reflection was palpable. Anyone who enters into a relationship, let the buyer beware. You could be in for a world of hurt.

  Be sure to ask a lot of questions as the process will not be explained to you. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a bank and a mortgage. I had to fight tooth and nail. It worked out for us, but it didn’t come without a fight. I would not recommend dealing with this bank. They are either too large to care about the human beings on the other side of the mortgage or just naive to think everyone knows how things are done. Either way you would save yourself a lot of trouble by not trying with this bank.
