      I love Fidelity. I can get someone on the phone 24/7 and have always had good service at the Durham office. I love that they are not paid by the number of trades that they make for you and thus do not suggest churning your accounts like other brokerage firms. (eg Merrill Lynch)

      My wife and I stopped by March 18 and it was closed "due to bad weather". It was the only store in Durham closed. What a joke. This lets me know how unprofessional these guys are. I'm taking our investments somewhere else...no longer trust these guys.

      One star for the fact there is a local branch. The staff is very friendly but not sufficiently trained to help when i needed a bank or certified check from my brokerage account. One employee had no idea what i was even talking about. It then took two people and my showing the employees their own Fidelity Investments website before they were able to tell me that they could not help. However, when I call and speak with Fidelity reps on the phone, the service is always courteous, accurate and complete. i am a phone only customer from now on.
