  Fifth third bank is not a good bank to have. Do not open up any checking or savings accounts with them. They hold your money longer than expected. They have held my check for two weeks and still have not released any funds from my account. I will not highly recommend anyone using them at all. I have called several times. They couldn't help me at all. First they lied to me and told me the check from the insurance company wasn't cleared through their account. I called the insurance company they said they weren't holding any funds back from me that it was my personal bank which is Fifth third bank. I called fifth third bank back and they gave me the run around. They sent me two separate letters. The first letter they sent me said my money will be available to me on Monday May 4, 2020 and then they sent me another letter and said they will release my funds May 6, 2020. When I called on the May 4th to ask why they couldn't give me an accurate answer on why they were holding my funds til May 6, 2020. I called customer service because they said I needed to contact customer service. When I called customer service and talked with them they told me they were going to clear my check May 5, 2020. I called this morning to see when they were going to make my money available they said it won't be available until May 6, 20202. When they told me on May 4, 2020 that they were going to clear my funds today May 4, 2020. Please choose another bank to bank with. Fifth Third bank is not and will not be a good choice for anyone seeking an account to be accurate about releasing your money to you. I would highly recommend a credit union or PNC bank or US Bank. The only reason I chose to bank with fifth bank was because I had checks that were being sent to me from their bank and I thought it would be easier and more sufficient for me to bank with them so I wouldn't have to go to a check cashing place. And I would also like to add the date that I put my money into the bank using the app was on April 23, 2020. They were supposed to release my fund within 1-2 business days after depositing through money through the fifth third bank app. The money was supposed to be available on April 27, 2020. And it is now May 5, 2020 and my funds will not be released to me until tomorrow they say May 6, 2020. This is very unprofessional and very unacceptable that they would do this to any human being ever.
