  *Warning* I did some light work fork someone who banks at Fifth Third. The wrote me a $40 check for payment. I went by their bank to cash the check. They wanted to charge me a $5 fee to cash the check written off her personal account at her bank. So from here out if she wants to write a check (or anyone else who banks there) they will have to pay an additional $5. Other banks do not do this. Just a heads up if looking for somewhere to open an account.

  This bank makes me hate banks and see why the older generation feels like banks are untrustworthy and steal your money. Never have I ever been charged over 100 dollars for an overdraft fee. I budget. And they just made it very difficult to pay my rent this month not that they would ever bat an eye at the fact that it’s my hard earned money they’re taking. Charging people for being broke is like putting someone who can’t pay a bill in jail until they do. Pointless and malicious.
