  I was invited to a seminar at Coopers Hawk by mail and called to reserve my spot. I was called two days before and asked several questions: age, how much money I had in my portfolio, whether I had a financial adviser, etc. When she found out I already had an adviser and I was unwilling to tell her my financial status, I was disinvited to the seminar. This was incredibly rude and unwise. I was looking forward to learning more about investing and if I was impressed with the speaker, I would have given him a portion of my money to manage.

Based on your responses, we recommended that you would be better suited by attending one of our upcoming complimentary workshops, as the event you requested was not for those with an advisor. We appreciate that you were considering awarding a portion of your portfolio to a financial professional, but out of respect for all parties, we do ask that those seeking financial advice first address their concerns and desires with their established professional partnership. We believe deeply in transparent and straight-forward conversations, especially when we are talking about something as important as the management of your life savings.   This company tries to hook you up with pretenses that they are inviting you for dinner that never happens. They state that they need your information before they make a reservation, but the reservation is never made even though you provide information. They say you are on their waiting line to continue getting info from you; however that’s not true; they never call you. It’s mostly a cheap and deceiving advertising campaign. If I’m going to conduct financial business with someone, especially when a lot of money is involved; it will for sure NOT be with a company that is lying to me even before I give them my money. Be aware!!!
