  We recently purchased our home in Libby, MT and worked with the First American Title team; outstanding customer service, outstanding communication throughout the whole process. We experienced some weather related delays during closing and First American did everything they could to help us close on time. Phenomenal experience and would recommend 100% to anyone buying a home in Libby! - Brabo Family

  They do not respond to concerns or complaints. ZERO response. I would have loved to have had my concerns addressed privately, as I have also had great experiences with this company. Unfortunately that does not seem possible. Not responding to customers concerns is unacceptable. Here is a copy of the email I sent outlining my concerns. Good morning mr Stufflebeam, I sent a message to Shannon Wolleat back on 06-06-21With some concerns I had after getting information from a flathead title company that they had a significantly faster turnaround than First American Title company. I also had an unpleasant experience with an employee. I never received any kind of response. While our company is nothing huge.. we do use your company 2-4 times a year personally and through our business so I would have at least expected a response. It is possible that there was a misunderstanding with the Flathead company but I would have liked to at least have my concerns addressed. Since they weren’t, I spoke to several local Realtors and they secretly shared my concerns and some have moved most of their transactions to flathead companies. I realize things are crazy right now and maybe my concerns were overlooked? Below is the note I sent to Mrs. Wolleat. Hi Shannon, I dropped into the eureka office yesterday and Spoke to Heidi, who was very rude. I politely asked why the long wait. after being told 8weeks to close. She raised her voice and said "because there are only 8 of us" I said there was no need to be rude, to which she replied, " Im sick of everyone asking the same question." We do a lot of business through First American and it would be nice to just get the scoop on the process that is causing the delays. After my interaction with Heidi, I decided to I call down to a title company in Whitefish to see what other options I might have. To my surprise they quoted me two weeks to close. Im curious as to how this is possible since you guys have to pull the title. Unless they are being moved to the front of the line. We are supposedly set to close July 1st it is an all cash transaction. First American did the title search 2ish years ago so this isn't a hand transaction. We have a second transaction that is being funded by this transaction and it needs to close before July 1st as the owner of that property has a balloon payment July 1st. Im hoping we can stay with first American and have the shorter timeline that is apparently being given to the Whitefish company :) rather than opening a new one with the other company. We love the Eureka office, despite Heidi who I have rarely dealt with, and do quite a few closings every year. I would hate to go all the way to Whitefish for our transactions.

  From what I’ve seen they are extremely unprofessional. There business practices are unethical and I think in a bigger city some stuff wouldn’t be excepted but it’s a small town unfortunately.
